Dwayne Douglas
Dwayne Douglas Johnson, more popularly well-known as The Rock was born May 2nd, 1972 in Hayward, California. The Rock is the child of Ata Johnson (born Feagaimaleata Maivia) and professional wrestler Rocky Johnson (born Wayde Douglas Bowles). He is the son of Johnson (born Feagaimaleata fitisemanu maivia) as well as Rocky Johnson (born Wayde Douglas Bowles). His mother, born in Amherst from Nova Scotia, Canada is Black. Her father is also black. While growing up, Dwayne traveled around a often with his parents, and was able to watch his father compete in the boxing ring. Dwayne first began playing football in high school. Soon after, he earned an academic scholarship to Miami's University of Miami and had incredible success as an athlete. Dwayne was hurt in his back and lost his position within the NFL. The Canadian League offered him a deal for three years, but he decided to return to wrestle and focus on his career.
